The successful candidate will work with the process development team with a focus on fermentor operation in a fast-paced working environment. Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to develop creative solutions to challenging problems, are essential.
Design and implement fermentation experiments and scalable control strategies for optimization.
Setup, operation, and routine maintenance of fermentors ranging in size from bench scale to 50 L.
Monitor processes to ensure consistency and reliability.
Analyze data, form conclusions, and communicate results to supervisor and team members.
Work with team members in the development of protocols and guidelines for best practices.
B.S. or M.S. in chemical engineering, biochemistry or equivalent
2+ years relevant undergraduate/graduate experience in an academic or industrial laboratory, (industrial experience preferred)
Comfortable working with fermentors, associated software and fermentation analytical equipment
Must be highly-motivated with exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
